Grant Type: Request for Application (RFA)
Sub-Recipients: Any public, private or charter school in the District of Columbia participating in the National School Lunch Program.
Purpose: The primary goal of the National School Lunch Program Equipment assistance grant is to improve the infrastructure of NSLP; however, it is important to note that authority and funds for the grants were provided in the overall context of stimulating the economy. Schools in which at least fifty percent of the children are eligible for free or reduced priced meals were weighted more heavily so that those schools serving the neediest children received a clear advantage in the application process.
